Shredded Week – The Shred Centre W/C 27/05/2019

Its been another busy week at the shred centre

Monday

Shredding company group photoLast Monday, we all had a relaxing day off as it was a bank holiday! A few of the team members waking up with a bad head I am sure, making the most of a Monday off, as it does not happen often! Our team went out to Durham on last Saturday for some team bonding. We all met for 1pm, starting with a team meeting and progress chat and it turned out to be a fantastic day/night! Thank you to Patrick and Natalie for putting up with us! #ONETEAMONEDREAM

Tuesday

Newcastle Shredding company loading truckBack to reality! With it being Bank holiday Monday, we were catching up a little, ensuring all regular and one-off customers are serviced on time.  We sent our head driver, Matthew, out in the onsite vehicle to the Newcastle area, providing a reliable and secure service to all of our North east customers.  Meanwhile, driver Abbie, was out in the Shred Centre bin truck to pick up the printers waste paper. It has been a busy one in the warehouse too, with our operative Mark loading up the first 25 tonne of paper, ready to be transported to Prudhoe, where it will be recycled into the paper tissue products, we use every day.  The ladies in the office have been busy taking on new customers through our shredding request forms online and Leigh has been busy with the social media side of things, working closely with our marketing team at Social Media Hub. Not forgetting popping out to attend meetings to bring in new customers. Keep an eye on our social media platforms for all updates!

Wednesday

Another busy morning here especially for the ladies in the office, with Katie gathering feedback from our customer’s who we serviced last week, and it has all been positive! Thank you, Katie, and keep up the good work. We would like to say a massive thank you our drivers for their hard work and great customer service as we would not have the good feedback with out their effort’s.

Driver, Abbie Nelson, took her C+E (Class1) test today – and we are pleased to tell you that it was a PASS! Fantastic effort Abbie, well done!  Training was done with Twinway LGV Training, who have been an amazing support not only to Abbie but have given our other driver’s further training too. We can’t recommend these guys enough. They’re professional at all times and an overall great company, so a big thank you to you guys.  We would not go anywhere else for driving training.

Thursday

The weather has certainly not been on our side today, however that has not stopped us here at the Shred Centre! Our driver Tim has been out in the bin wagon picking up the printers waste paper and our head driver Matt has been out in the local Spennymoor area, picking up pallets of documents to be shredded! We had 19 pallets of textiles delivered in to the warehouse yesterday, which were securely destroyed, thanks to our warehouse operatives Kacie and Mark working nonstop. We received fantastic feedback from our customer, thanks again. MD, Patrick flew out to New York today, to watch the boxing on Saturday. Suppose even the boss deserves the occasional holiday!

Friday

Again, the weather does not seem to be playing nicely at all. We may need to buy a boat if it doesn’t stop raining! It has been a busy day, with warehouse staff shredding and loading up another 25 tonnes of paper, ready to be transported to Prudhoe and recycled! Leigh has been busy in the office working on two new leaflet designs. These will be aimed at Domestic customers and customers who aren’t aware of the ‘drop in’ service we offer.  Keep a look out for the new designs! As well as leaflet designing, Leigh and Katie have been busy taking new enquiries, as well as follow up calls! Keep a look out for our Friday article on social media!

That’s another week wrapped up, and what a great week it has been! This could not happen without our amazing team who constantly work to a high standard and our feedback of customers have proved just that!
